Mattress Care Guide

A new mattress is designed to provide support and comfort for many years. Proper care will help maintain its performance and longevity.

Rotate or Turn Your Mattress

All new mattresses should be rotated or turned regularly.

We recommend:

  • Rotate or turn weekly for the first 3 months
  • Rotate or turn monthly thereafter

This helps fillings settle evenly and prevents uneven wear.

Allow Time to Settle

Mattresses with deep fillings, pocket springs or natural materials may take 30–60 nights to start to settle.

This is completely normal as the materials adapt to your body. The first 3-6 months is where your new mattress will settle most.

Use a Mattress Protector

We strongly recommend using a waterproof mattress protector.

A waterproof protector helps:

  • prevent stains
  • maintain hygiene
  • protect your mattress guarantee

Ensure Proper Support

Your mattress must be used on a suitable base.

An unsuitable base can affect comfort and may invalidate the guarantee. We recommend a platform top divan base, free from wear or any dips. A slatted base is deemed suitable providing slat gaps are no more than 7cm apart.

Air Your Mattress

Occasionally allow your mattress to breathe by pulling back bedding for a short period each morning.

This helps moisture disperse and keeps the mattress fresh.

Vacuum Occasionally

Light vacuuming of the mattress surface can help remove dust and keep the sleeping surface clean.
